TRAVELLING TO THE VEAN


The entrance to The Vean is located in Caerhays Village beside the postbox and almost opposite the Village Hall and telephone box. The entrance has two granite signs and granite gateposts at the top of the private drive which is edged with historic metal park fencing

      Newquay Airport is around 45 minutes drive to or from The Vean. Newquay has currently daily or weekly connections with the following airports:-

    • Jet 2 - Belfast
    • Lufthansa- Dusseldorf
    • BMI Baby - East Midlands, Manchester

    By Train
    The nearest railway station to The Vean is St Austell. There is a full schedule of daily rail services direct to London Paddington including an overnight sleeper service which operates in both directions every night. There are also through trains to major northern destinations including Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
    By Helicopter
    Castle Air, who are based near Liskeard in Cornwall, frequently fly shooting guests to Caerhays in the winter months and are available for sightseeing bookings or for last minute rushes to important meetings in London or on the continent.
