The Drawing Room

This is a light, elegant but comfortable room with access to the verandah. The walls are painted in 'Cornish Clay', a soft grey / green and the curtains are pale gold silk hung from beautifully hand painted poles. It is furnished with Georgian period pieces including wing chairs, card table and corner cupboard. There are two sofas which have been specially made for the drawing room and covered in Zoffany fabric. The lighting is created by antique table and standard lamps with a huge crystal chandelier taking centre stage. The open fire will be lit during the autumn and winter months.

The Kitchen
Kitchen
This room has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the simple early Eighteenth Century style but at the same time containing the very latest quality kitchen appliances and equipment. It is built to a commercial standard but still retains a domestic feel with a wonderful 18th century butler's cupboard and specially commissioned cherry wood table and chairs for less formal dining.

The Bedrooms
Twin Bedroom
The eight bedrooms have been individually designed in the late Georgian style, each one unique, with a character of it's own. They have beautifully interlined curtains, antique mirrors, desks or dressing tables all carefully chosen. The rooms are named after farmhouses on the Caerhays Estate and over the years new rhododendron hybrids bred in the Castle gardens have also been given these names. The bedrooms are hung with pictures of both the farmhouse and the rhododendron they are named after. These include Penvose, Nancor, Polgrain, Treberrick on the first floor and Rescassa, Trelucky, Penvergate and Trevennen on the second floor. All the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with limestone floors, simple but elegant fixtures and fittings and luxurious bath towels and robes.
